Where it all began…
Hennie and Barry came together completely by chance. An entrepreneur at heart, Hennie left the corporate world after working and traveling in Europe where he saw the variety of alcoholic products available to their market. He came back and realised that South Africa can do with some quality craft beverages that are ready to drink and gin and tonic was the obvious choice. He met Barry who had been experimenting with G&T to find the perfect blend. Barry had experience in the beverage manufacturing industry and witnessed local craft gins establish themself in South Africa and the people supporting local craftsmanship. Working together they realised that there is a gap in the market for a ready mix G&T and Hamiltons Gin & Tonic was born.
